I'm finally backkkk!

Hello lovelies, as you may have gathered from the title I'm finally back!

I have now finished my three years at university, my degree show and graduation aside. I feel slightly lost, not having work to do anymore, sat at my desk for hours and hours drawing.

Now, I I have nothing I should be doing, I hope to post on here more!

Blogging and Life

I feel like this blog post may just sound like my other blog post named General Insecurities and Blogging from a few months ago but here goes.

I'm a big over thinker and recently I've been doing a lot of thinking, mainly about my blog and what the hell I'm going to do after uni.

The question 'What are you going to do after uni?' is definitely a question I dread people asking me and I've been asked far too many times for my liking. Of course I would love to go on to do illustration after my University course but, I don't think I'm good enough to successfully have that as my job. If you know where they are handing out confidence please let me know haha

I would love to mix my illustrations with my blog, which would consist of having my own illustrated blog header, drawn out outfits of the week and maybe illustrated tutorials. However, that won't be for some time yet as I'm busy with uni for the next three months or so. Posting more often is something I really want to do but, at the moment I'm concentrating.

Another, thing that's holding me back with my blog is my self doubting, I'm always questioning 'will anybody even read this?' because I'm literally the most boring person ever!

I'll probably delete this because it basically just me rambling about having no confidence.

Zara Wishlist

Here I am with another wishlist to share with you, I might do a series of wishlists but, I'm not sure yet. For once the clothes on my wishlist are not 90 % black, crazy I know! I'm still yet to buy an item of my dreams from Zara due to lack of funds being a student and all.

So, I had a quick browse on Zara the other night and these are my favourite picks
The pleated collar on the light denim blouse is really nice and would go well worn under a pinafore. I really like the cropped style of the mustard coloured top and the frills give a nice shape to it. I'm a huge fan of the wildflower print on the white (they do it in black but I was trying not to pick black for once). Ohh talking about black, I thought there was something lovely about the low cut back of the black white striped top. Also, the boat neckline of the top reminded me of some of the clothes Audrey Hepburn wore.
I think anyone that wears eyeliner will love the t-shirt with the slogan 'Look Me In The Eyeliner And Say That' on it and it looks like a great lazy day top (you know what I mean). I must have been feeling a bit mustard crazy when I was looking on Zara the other day, with me also picking out an A-line skirt in the exact same shade as the crop top above. You can't beat a good white blouse that goes perfectly with any jazzy skirt you own, I especially love the lace detail of this one from Zara. I'm big fan of one of the current shoe trends; the square toe ankle boots that are very Sixties esque.

What's on your current clothes wishlist?

Home Sweet Home, NQ Manchester

Today's post will be me expressing my love for one of my favourite places to eat in Manchester.
Home Sweet Home has been providing Manchester with tasty, homemade classic American dishes since the year of 2011. The menu reads a long list of ultimate comfort foods! You'll find them located on the corner of Edge Street in the Northern Quarter (my favourite part of Manchester) and in The Great Northern Warehouse just of Deansgate.

I have to thank my friend Roisin for taking me to Home Sweet Home back in  2012, that feels just last week, how is it four years ago already? I remember my first meal there was Caesar salad and it was a damn good salad! Yes, there is such thing as a tasty salad when it's made by the lovelies at Home Sweet Home.

The interior of Home Sweet Home ticks all the right boxes for me, one of the main reasons I love it so much! The quirky decor makes it all the more enjoyable to visit, with mismatch chairs, wooden tables & floors, prints & art framed on the walls & stain glassed lamp shades. As if it couldn't get any better, try going in December during the Christmas period the atmosphere couldn't get any more cosy and homely!

My current favourite dish is the chicken in a basket; pieces of fried chicken with fries, coleslaw and barbecue sauce! I definitely need to get my hands on one of their mugs with the Home Sweet Home logo on it! I also must check out their newly opened cafe in The Great Northern Warehouse.

Here are a few photographs I've taken from my visits of the past 4 years

So, when you're next in Manchester City Centre don't forget to pop in even if it's just for some tea and cake.

2016 New Years Resolutions

It's that time of year again where I make New Years resolutions that I don't stick to, maybe this year will be the year that I do. Who am I kidding?

My new years resolutions will probably be similar to last years, that's how successful I was.

- Draw everyday - even if it's a quick sketch
- Carry on doing exercising every day - When I can be bothered I do enjoy it. I don't think I'm quite ready to head to the gym though haha.
- Be nicer - you can never be too nice
- Blog more - The amount I've posted this year is poor
- Care less about what people think - this is a tough one for me because I care far too much about what others think
- Read more books - I really like reading when I finally find time!
- Learn how to play my ukulele - I have a terrible memory but, I really want to be able to play it properly.
-  Wear whatever I want - similar to caring less about what people think. Life is too short to wear the usual black skinny jeans & a t-shirt!
- Stop putting myself down - I am the worst when it comes to putting myself & my work down
- Be more confident
- Take more photos - especially with my film & my Lomo Instant camera
- Do another Memory Walk for the Alzheimer's Society - I'd love to raise more money for the charity & hopefully go on to do more things other than just the walk in time.
- Get a job - Leaving uni this year will be daunting but, I hope to get a job & save for exciting things in the future
- Sell my illustrations and possibly other things I create
- Be happy & positive - I have become a bit of Negative Nancy these days which isn't fun!
- Look after myself

What are your New Year Resolutions?

Thanks for reading
